From the Director...

On behalf of the production team at New Shepherd Films and the entire cast and crew of "FOOTPRINTS", thank you for visiting our site!

This film is a true labor of love for all those involved. It's abundantly clear that God wants this story told! In fact, He's enabled all of us to move ahead with this production in such a powerful way, that it's all we can do to keep up with the pace of His plans. I'm not exaggerating when I say not a day goes by that we don't see a miracle of some sort allowing us to move forward in production. As we humble ourselves before the Lord to tell a story for His glory, we see the undeniable power of prayer at work. And we feel His hand guiding our efforts. (Yes, we do have plans to chronicle these in the Director's Commentary section of the DVD release.)

The challenge this creates for us is finding the time to respond to emails as well as keeping our website up to date! So for those of you who may be wondering about our status, here's a quick overview:

We're entering the final push to complete filming! We're targeting July 29, 2010 as our last day of filming and from there we will move immediately into post-production. This story will have gone from conception through development and completed filming in just under a year...WOW!
We continue to feel very good about having the movie ready for distribution by the end of the year. From there, it will truly be up to God as to how this story and the message herein gets out to His audience. What we do know is that whatever happens, it will be more than we can imagine or dream of!
There are MANY MANY behind-the-scenes activities going on at New Shepherd Films focused on the promotion, publicity, and marketing of this film. Some of these activities include building a new production studio and administrative offices, developing our marketing strategy, and producing the companion novel (the screenplay adaptation). We're developing relationships with a number of churches throughout New England who are interested in helping us develop an alternative to the traditional "Hollywood" entertainment. We're even working preliminary plans for our first premier early next year! And the list goes on...

The Lord has provided exactly what we need when we needed it. And He's blessed us with a cast and crew that has a heart for service. It's a pleasure and a privilege to work with and lead the incredible team God has provided. On behalf of everyone here, I ask that you PLEASE keep us in prayer. We still have a very long journey ahead of us with many obstacles. We have a number of significant needs, including funding. The needs will only be met when we ask Him for help. Without your prayerful support, we will not succeed.

In closing, please be patient with us as we focus on producing a film that represents our very best effort for God and a solid, family-based alternative to the Hollywood norm. We may not get our website updated as frequently as we'd like (or should), but rest assured--the production is moving forward and we're looking forward to a wonderful premier!
